Criteria For Award
(1) Applicants must be poor and indigent
(2) Applicants must be registered students of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. i.e Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
(3) Applicants must have good academic performance.
Mode of Application
(A) Each applicant must submit application letter, not more two (2) pages. The letter must include the name of the candidate, Course and year of study, state of Origin and why the candidate believe that he or she should be given the award.
(B) The application letter must be accompanied by:
(i) a photocopy of the candidate’s current identity card.
(ii) a letter from the candidate’s Head of Department, including correct information on the candidate’s CGPA for the last academic semester
(iii) a letter from registrar certifying that the candidate is a student of such institution
(iv) a copy of the candidate’s registration form for the current semester and
(v) two (2) current passport photographs.
The application letter, with all supporting documents, should be forwarded (by hand or postal delivery) to:

Deadline
The deadline for submission of application is Wednesday, August 31, 2011.
Interview and Award Ceremony
(i) Kano:
All applicants within the Northern States will be interviewed on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at ASUU Office, Bayero University, Kano at 10.00am
(ii) Lagos:
All Applicants within the Southern States will be interviewed on Wednesday, September 13, 2011 at Nigerian Law Publications House, Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D. Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 10.00am
Award Ceremony:
Successful candidates will be awarded the scholarships on Friday September 15, 2011 at Nigerian Law Publications House, Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D. Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 12.00 Noon

Am so excited about Gani Fawehimi’s scholarship scheme. GANI LIVES FOREVER! The only snag in the scheme is how an indigent student can travel twice from Calabar to Lagos, feed and acommodate himself.
