Description: The University of East Anglia offers partial and full scholarships for international students from developing, low-income and developed countries.

The scholarships are for Masters Degree in International Development Courses offered by the School of International Development - School of International Development Excellence Awards.

Eligibility: You should have been offered and have accepted a place on an eligible international development course offered by the School of International Development.

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence (e.g. first class degree) and the personal statement.

For African applicants, scholarship award is conditional on a statement of their current employer who commits to providing a stipend to cover living expenditures as well as to employing the student again after the study.

Sponsorship duration: Awards are partial or full fee waivers or awards which will last the whole duration of the masters program

Number of awards / Scholarship benefits: International Development Scholarships (for all international students) – Offers a £1,000 fee waiver to all international students who have obtained a 1st Class degree. All students who have completed their undergraduate degree at UEA will receive an additional 20% fee reduction.

International Development Full Fees Scholarship (for all international students) – A full fee award may be offered to one international taught applicant

International Development Partial Fee Excellence Scholarships for students from Japan, Korea, Mexico, Brazil, Philippines and USA – partial fees awards may be offered to students from Japan (2 scholarships of £3000), Korea (1 scholarship of £4000), Mexico (1 scholarship of £4000), Brazil (1 scholarship of £4000), Philippines (1 scholarship of £4000) and USA (1 scholarship of £3000)

International Development Full Fees Scholarship for African students – A full fee award may be offered to one African applicant.

Situated within the Faculty of Social Sciences, the School of International Development (DEV) has 250 undergraduates, 150 taught postgraduates, 80 PhD students, 13 associated researchers and 36 academic staff. DEV provides a research and teaching environment (encompassing social, political, natural and environmental sciences and economics) for its staff and students. DEV graduates have careers in academia, government, non-governmental organisations, research institutes, consultancies and private business.
