There are currently two scholarship categories: MTS MATE ROV Scholarship and the MTS ROV Scholarship.
MATE/MTS ROV Scholarship available:
- 1 at $8,000
- 1 at $6,000
- 1 at $4,000
- 1 at $2,000
To qualify for the MATE/MTS ROV scholarship the applicant must either attend a MATE Partner Institution or have participated in the MATE ROV Competition.
The deadline for the 2014 scholarship was April 14, 2014.

These scholarships are open to all graduate, undergraduate and high school seniors who intend to pursue a college curriculum directed toward a career in marine/ocean sciences or engineering, or a closely related field with an emphasis on ROV technology.
