Scholarship Description: If you’re planning to NigeriaScholarshipsOnline”target=”_self”rel=”external”title=”" >apply in fall 2011 to go abroad in 2012-2013, come to the Fulbright Action Plan session on Monday, April 11 at 6:30 in Blow 201. In 2010-2011, William and Mary alumni are in Germany, India, Morocco, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Taiwan and Venezuela as Fulbright Scholars. You can read some of their blogs at Beyond Blow Hall. Wouldn’t you like to be a Fulbright Scholar in 2012-2013? You may apply to one of over 150 countries. The W&M Fulbright application process is open to graduating seniors, graduate students, and alumni of the College. All applications are distributed to campus committees for review, and these committees conduct interviews over the following few weeks. Committees will consist of William & Mary faculty members, likely with some expertise in the area of the world pertinent to your application. Interviews will last about 20 minutes; part of the interview will be in the language of the proposal country (if applicable). Committees are asked to evaluate: the candidates’ academic or professional qualifications (especially in relation to the proposed project); the validity and feasibility of the proposed project; language qualifications; evidence of maturity, motivation, and adaptability to a different cultural environment; knowledge of host country; impression candidate will make abroad as a citizen representing the U.S.
