Eligibility for this Nigerian scholarships:
-Women are especially encouraged to apply
-The successful applicant should hold a master’s degree in mechatronics engineering that covers the above fields.
-The average grade for courses included in the bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) must be C or higher.
-The average grade for courses, except the master’s thesis, included in the master’s degree (or equivalent) should be B or higher.
-The master’s thesis (or equivalent) should have the grade B or higher.
-Programming skills in Matlaband Finite Element Analysis software are expected.
-Strong academic skills, experience or interest in the following areas: vehicle dynamics, structural dynamics, signal processing and instrumentation.
-A high level of oral and written proficiency in English is required. Applicants from certain countries must document their English skills through one of the following tests, with the stated results or better:
-TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language, with a minimum score of 550 on the Paper-based Test (PBT) or 80 on the Internet based Test (iBT).
-IELTS – International English Language Testing System, with a result of 6.0.

Scholarship Description: The University of Agder invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term appointment as Research Fellow in Technology with specialization in Mechatronics for a period of three years, at the Department of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Science. The position is located in Grimstad, Norway. The starting date is negotiable. The Faculty of Engineering and Science has a core group of more than 15 academic staff in the field of mechatronics, including 4 professors, 5 associate professors and 6 PhD research fellows. The group is responsible for the BSc, MSc, and PhD programmes in mechatronics at the University of Agder and has an extensive network of Norwegian and international partner universities and colleges. With its regional industrial partners in the offshore oil and gas sector, the Mechatronics group constitutes one of the fastest growing research environments in mechatronics in the Nordic countries.
